Daniel Aili joins the Board of Virenc

Daniel Aili, Professor of Molecular Physics at Linköping University, has joined the Board of Directors of Virenc. With extensive experience in research, innovation and entrepreneurship, including expertise in peptides and biomaterials, he brings valuable expertise to Virenc as the company continues to develop its antiviral technology.

Virenc is developing a new approach to antiviral treatments based on peptides. The aim is to develop treatments against a broad range of enveloped viruses, including influenza viruses and coronaviruses.

Daniel Aili is Professor of Molecular Physics at Linköping University, where he leads the Molecular Materials research group. His research focuses on the development of bioresponsive materials for biomedical and biotechnological applications.

He has more than 20 years of research experience in peptide chemistry and membrane-active peptides and has published more than 100 scientific articles. He also has extensive experience in innovation and entrepreneurship within deep tech and medical technology.
